Eggcellent picks for a teen girl’s Easter Basket!

Hello!  This is my very first post on my blog!  I’m a mom.  I have two daughters, one is a teenager and one is a tween.  Gifts get harder to buy for them as they get older.  Long gone are the days of Barbie and Play Doh, now they’re wanting iphones, clothing and gift cards.  I always make a big production out of holidays.  There are such few true pleasures in life and our family’s holiday parties are always a special time to celebrate with the ones we love.

Tomorrow is April 1st.  April Fool’s Day, but this is no joke.  Creating Easter baskets take time, knowledge of what your girls like, what they asked for and lots of shopping.  Regardless, Easter is this month and it’s time to start thinking about filling the Easter Baskets.  What do I put in moody, hormonal teen girl’s baskets?  They are not little kids anymore, but far from adults. Every year, I have to try and find a happy medium.  Things that are different and unique and not geared towards kids under 10.  Holiday-themed are always fun…lots of fluffy white bunnies and yellow chicks galore.  I searched and searched and put together this list of things I think my girls would love to find this year in that magical Easter Basket on Easter morning…

  • Gift Cards to their favorite stores
  • Phone Accessories
  • Headphones
  • Gum
  • Makeup – Nail Polish, Lipsticks, Chapsticks, Lip Gloss
  • Sunglasses
  • Bath and Body Products
  • Water Bottle
  • A good book…Sigh, I can only wish!
  • Journal
  • Gel Pens and Markers
  • Hair Accessories – Headbands, Hair Ties, which we can never have enough of!
  • Jewelry
  • New Toothbrush for after eating all those chocolate bunnies
  • Stickers
  • A real bunny rabbit…just remember it’s a long-term commitment, but oh so cute!

What have I missed?  If you like this list, please share it!  Leave me a comment and let me know what your favorite Easter Basket goodie is.

  1. Your list is great for teenagers. For me as an adult I like fruit and scratch off tickets and anything to do with crafts.
